Many of our patients choose to stay the night before surgery in a hotel near the surgery center. And for our patients traveling longer distances or undergoing more involved procedures, we offer the option to spend the night after surgery in the hospital under the care of our specially trained plastic surgery nurses. This ensures that you receive the best possible care after their surgery. Patients are seen by Dr. Griffin the morning after surgery and are then able to go home. Follow up visits are also adjusted to minimize the amount of travel while ensuring that your recovery is progressing normally.

Nashville Cosmetic Surgery is happy to coordinate transportation/limo service for out-of-town guests. This is available at the request of our patients and can be arranged by contacting our office at (615) 321-1003.

Making the Most of Your Nashville Visit

For the best classic cocktails, visit the Patterson House in Midtown.

Did you know that Conde' Nast Traveler named Nashville one of the Top 5 Places to Visit in 2013? "The new Nashville offers two things worth traveling for: a hot, trendy new food scene and its famous, funky music scene. The "haute southern" cuisine is flourishing in Nashville at restaurants like The Patterson House and The Catbird Seat. Not to mention some of the tastiest and most creative cocktails we've ever tried. At night, you can't walk two blocks without coming across some incredible live music, from bluegrass to brass bands, zydeco to country."

Nashville has always been known for incredible southern food, but now we're taking a national stage! With reviews in Bon Appetit, The New York Times, and countless other foodie bibles, it's a given that Nashville Cosmetic Surgery patients traveling from out of town will find anything their hearts and stomachs desire.  While we could give recommendations for days, here a a few restaurant highlights for first-time visitors:

Loveless Cafe ($)

Fried chicken and biscuits have been a part of the Loveless Cafe’s history for more than sixty years. In 1951, Lon and Annie Loveless began serving them right out the front door of their home to travelers who passed by on US Highway 100 in Nashville, Tennessee. Known for its Southern cooking, especially for its biscuits, country ham and red-eye gravy, it's no surprise this southern food staple of Nashville has done it's part to bring our food scene to the masses.  Loveless has even served dinner at The James Beard House in NYC.  Address: 8400 Hwy 100, Nashville, TN 37221 Phone: (615) 646-9700      WEBSITE

Cityhouse  ($$)

Farm-to-table rustic Italian, anyone? Antipasto, pizza, and pasta are plentiful at this new restaurant in the Germantown neighborhood. But Cityhouse's hallmark is its charcuterie, including house-cured meats, salami, terrines, and meatballs. Menus change frequently to reflect the whims and creative pursuits of the restaurant's young chefs. House-made sausages with cabbage, cannellini beans and horseradish will stick to your ribs, while cornmeal-crusted catfish is a tad lighter, served with baby butter beans, lemon, parsley, and chilies. An extensive wine collection includes a variety of dessert wines, and the restaurant's screened-in wood porch makes a great place to linger. Get the pork belly pizza.  Address: 1222 4th Ave N, Nashville, TN 37208 Phone: (615) 736-5838      WEBSITE

Rolf & Daughters  ($$$)

Voted Bon Appetit's #3 Best Restaurant in America (August 2013), it's pretty certain you will need to make reservations (although early weekday evenings are more flexible for walk-ins):  "Nashville's newest star has nothing to do with country music. This rowdy neighborhood joint in an old foundry is the work of chef Philip Krajeck, who crafts the understated "peasant food" of Italy and the Mediterranean with care (and top-quality Southern meats and produce). Starters like chicken liver pâté with carrot marmalade and mains like dry-aged meatballs are all compelling, but it's the pastas that are unforgettable."  Address: 700 Taylor St, Nashville, Tennessee 37208  Phone: (615) 866-9897     WEBSITE
