Meet Dr. Don Griffin
EARLY LIFE & EDUCATION
Dr. Griffin is a true southern boy, hailing from Lafayette, Louisiana. After graduating summa cum laude from Louisiana State University, he earned his medical degree and completed his surgical residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He went on to complete his fellowship training in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham before returning to Nashville to start his practice.
As a fully trained general surgeon and a plastic and reconstructive surgeon who has been performing both cosmetic and reconstructive surgery for more than 20 years, Dr. Griffin understands all aspects of surgery. This experience, combined with a consistent and personal approach, has earned him an excellent reputation among both his peers and his patients. Working with his highly qualified team of providers at Nashville Cosmetic Surgery, he uses both surgical and nonsurgical techniques to help patients achieve the best outcomes with a focus on natural-looking results.
Dr. Griffin is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Each of these prominent organizations requires members to be accomplished plastic surgeons committed to high standards and quality care. He is also actively involved in the Nashville regional medical community, serving as chief of plastic surgery at Centennial Medical Center. In the past, he has also served as chief of surgery and chairman of multiple committees at Centennial Medical Center.
Dr. Griffin provides a high standard of care in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. He is approachable and his patients enjoy his warm bedside manner—a quality he learned from his father and grandfather, who were also surgeons.
