This post-bariatric patient presented following significant weight loss after gastric sleeve surgery, resulting in substantial skin laxity affecting her abdomen, flanks, and buttocks with minimal excess fatty tissue. Her examination revealed circumferential skin redundancy typical of massive weight loss patients. Dr. Griffin advised that a standard abdominoplasty would provide only partial correction due to the extensive nature and distribution of the excess skin. The surgical plan included a circumferential trunk lipectomy to comprehensively address the trunk laxity. Her post-operative photographs demonstrate dramatic improvement in body contour with elimination of redundant skin throughout the entire trunk region, allowing her to wear fitted clothing appropriate to her new frame rather than concealing loose skin with oversized garments.
