QWO Injections for Cellulite Nashville

QWO is the first and only FDA-approved injectable for cellulite.

QWO is the exciting new “game changer” for the treatment of cellulite! It’s the first and only FDA-approved injectable for moderate to severe cellulite.

Regardless of shape or size, 90% of all women experience those frustrating dimples called cellulite. And contrary to popular belief, cellulite has nothing to do with weight fluctuation. For years, in an effort to battle these dimples, women have purchased ineffective potions, lotions, or treatments – all claiming to help reduce cellulite. But, until QWO, there has never truly been an effective treatment for cellulite.

There is finally a scientifically proven and safe cellulite treatment, QWO, and we are excited to offer it at Nashville Cosmetic Surgery.

What is QWO?

QWO is the first and only FDA-approved injectable treatment for moderate to severe cellulite in the buttocks of adult women. Scientifically speaking, QWO is a combination of two types of collagen-degrading enzymes called collagenases. While it’s not fully understood how QWO works, the collagenases are believed to target the fibrous bands that connect skin to muscle, gradually dissolving the tethers that pull the skin down and cause the dimpling we call cellulite.

When will I see results with QWO?

Visible results may be achieved in 10 weeks. In clinical studies, women received 3 treatments of QWO, 21 days apart.

What can I expect at my treatment?

QWO is injected directly into targeted dimples in the buttocks using a small needle. The shot itself is similar to a Botox injection. It is quick, relatively painless, and requires no numbing. Within 30 minutes you are finished and ready to walk out the door and go on with your day.

What are the side effects?

The most common side effects of QWO include:

  • Injection site bruising that decreases with each treatment
  • Pain in the form of tenderness for a few days
  • Temporary areas of hardness
  • Itching
  • Redness
  • Discoloration
  • Swelling
  • Warmth in the treatment area

At NCS, our provider can answer all questions and discuss potential side effects with you. You should not receive QWO if you are allergic to any collagenases or the ingredients in QWO, or have an active infection in the treatment area.
